OREANDA-NEWS. March 7, 2008. The project for gasification of the city of Kamennogorsk started 2 years ago, when the agreement for cooperation between the Administration of the Leningrad region and OAO GAZPROM, and the schedule for synchronization of gasification programs in the RF regions was signed. There were performed the necessary design works, and the gas pipe-line "Lesogorsky - Kamennogorsk" of 35 km length was built in the mountains of Karelian Isthmus. The city-constitutive enterprise KOPM has implemented the project for modernization of the boiler. Three old steam-boilers working on fuel oil were substituted by two modern steam-boilers with oil-gas burners. The capacity of every boiler made in the city of Bijsk is 16 tones of steam per hour. At the management company’s expense also there were built the intercity pipeline up to the boiler. The mill has received the gas limit of 24 million cubic meters per year.
