OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2008. This was announced by the director of the Public property agency at the Ministry of Economy and Trade Igor Grigoriev.

According to him, incomes from privatization for the current year had been set at a rate of 90 million leis. So far, within the auction sales of state shares, 104 million leis were generated. Igor Grigoriev said that only during auctions on Tuesday, stakes in 13 joint-stock companies for total amount of $ 60 million leis were sold.

Within prior investment and commercial tenders state stakes in 6 companies for 44 million leis were sold. Igor Grigoriev also noted that the auction will last till March 17, and there are good prospects for the sale of shares of many companies. Igor Grigoriev said that means, generated at the auction, will be allocated to the budget in 3 days.

According to him, next auctions can take place in a few months - in May-June, 2008. The head of the Public Property Agency said that last year during the auctions held on November 16- 21, shares of 33 companies for 75 million leis were sold.
