Clients of Ukio Bankas Organizes Day of Kindness Donations
OREANDA-NEWS. On March 05, 2008 Ukio bankas has joined a charity project “Day of Kindness” carried out by LNK TV and arranged a convenient possibility for the bank clients to donate money using electronic banking system Eta bankas or making cash deposits in Ukio bankas branches and client service units, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.
Day of Kindness donations will be used for procurement of modern diagnostic equipment necessary for Kaunas Medicine University Centre of Oncology and Vilnius Institute of Oncology. Early cancer diagnosis increases the possibilities of overcoming this dangerous disease.
The live broadcast of LNK TV charity project will take place on 10 March, and Ukio bankas clients will be able to make their Day of Kindness donations from 5 through 12 of March.
Several ways of making a donation have been provided. The first way is to connect to Eta bankas, enter the donated amount in a ready-made form and select the account for debiting money. Another way is to enter the donated amount in LNK website, chose the payment through Ukio bankas, connect to Eta bankas and confirm the generated payment form. The third way is to make a cash deposit to donation beneficiary’s account at any Ukio bankas branch or unit.

The first LNK TV Day of Kindness campaign was arranged in 2003 and the amount of contributions keeps increasing every year. The total donated amount is LTL 4,9 million. Last year TV viewers donated over LTL 125 thousand using internet banking solutions.
