OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 March 2008 was announced, that it is planned to spend over 45 million rubles on Tolmachevo International airport aviation and antiterrorism security.

 The funds are planned to be spent on several security measures, including airport protection during the construction of Runway-2, installation of video monitoring systems to 20 aircraft parking points and equipment of security control zone in Domestic flights terminal (extension block 2). Moreover, it is planned to install a radiation control system "Yantar" on the entrance of the Domestic flights terminal and security control zone.

 It is also planned to obtain 15 x-ray-television sets, 7 stationary and 20 portable metal finders, 5 detectors of fumes of explosives.

 To the end of 2008 screening equipment at Tolmachevo airport will be renewed by 85%. Corresponding contract for new equipment supply was signed with "Vlibor Systems", CJSC in 2007 for 23 million rubles.

Total costs for providing aviation and antiterrorism security at Tolmachevo International airport in the current year are 46 263 thousand rubles.
