OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 March 2008 was announced, that in order to maintain trouble-free power equipment operation in the Lipetsk area during the flood, JSC Lipetskenergo (is a part of IDGC of Centre) took necessary measures and created a commission for flood issues.

The structure of the commission included chiefs of technical services and divisions of the company held by Deputy General Director for technical issues - Chief Engineer Aleksandr Kornilov. Industrial branches of the company held necessary actions on preparation of electric networks for reliable operation during flood, checked up presence of accident protection devices in the places open to floods. Slopes of soil structures and banks of rivers on the territories subjected to flooding were additionally strengthened. Emergency stocks of building materials, details of supports and overalls were created; accident recovery brigades were prepared to act.

For the purpose of accident prevention, the Commission for flood issues of JSC Lipetskenergo cooperates with Administration of Lipetsk area and Central Administrative Board for Emergency Situations. According to Deputy Chief Engineer for operative technological management Andrey Arapov, constant operative communication with local hydrometeorological services is provided which 24 hours a day watches inflow and level of rivers in the area.
