OREANDA-NEWS. On Mar 5 2008 Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko and Director General of Rosnanotech State Nano Technology Corporation Leonid Melamed signed a cooperation agreement.

The parties have agreed to cooperate in the field of nano-technologies, nano-materials, nano-systems, scientific-technical forecasting and marketing as well as on preserving scientific schools and developing international scientific-technical cooperation in the field of nano-technologies.

The agreement is a new stage of the federal program for the development of the nano-industry. It allows the Corporations to focus on priority directions and to form innovative infrastructure for applying high-tech technologies in production.

The parties have pledged to coordinate their actions and to take an active part in the
implementation of the federal scientific-technical and innovative policy.

Presently, the parties are drafting a number of big projects, which will allow them to effectively promote high-tech products on both home and international markets.

The agreement has confirmed the commitment of Rosatom and Tosnanotech for using all the advantages of modern approaches to the organization of scientific-industrial and managerial activities.
