OREANDA-NEWS. March 5, 2008. During February, 2008 State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (except Joint Ventures and Operation Companies) carried out 17 870-meter drilling work. 17 290 meters drilled for oil, and 580 meters drilled for exploration. In sum, since the beginning of the year SOCAR (except Joint Ventures and Operation Companies) has carried out 35 114-meter drilling work of which 33 782 meters drilled for oil, and 1 332 meters drilled for exploration. It should be mentioned that the Complex Drilling Trust carried out 33 774-meter drilling work, while the share of Azeri Drilling Company made up 599 meters, and the share of Geophysics and Geology Department made up 741 meters of total drilling work carried out during January-February, 2008.
