OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 March 2008 was announced, that The Second International Automotive Salon was held at the International Exhibition Centre Crocus Expo.

The Salon had been organized by the consolidated efforts of three leading operators of automotive exhibitions in Russia and presented to professionals a unique project that has united three independent exhibitions previously run at three different exhibition venues. This year the main news of the exhibition was the integration of three separate exhibition into united event within the frames of the Salon: InterAutoMechanics (organizer Crocus Expo IEC), AutoTec (organizer International Trade Fairs Agency IFA LLC) and AT&M/ Automotive spare parts. The integration provides positive effect both for exhibitors and visitors and organizers of the event.

More than 180 companies came to exhibit at the show at the Crocus Expo. 20 foreign companies presented their expositions. The peculiar feature of the project was narrow specialization and "business-to-business" ("only for specialists") format. The Automotive Salon had developed to incorporate a topical and saturated business program aiming to develop a development strategy for automotive industry of Russia. The 7th Congress of automotive technologists started its work February 28 at the Crocus Expo. And the 1st Moscow International Forum Autocomponents-2008 was hold on February 29 at the Congress Centre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Arkady Zlotnikov, the First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, Alexey Matveev, the Deputy Director General the International Trade Fairs Agency IFA LLC and Alexander Kovriguin, the Deputy Director General ASM-Holding inaugurated the International Automotive Salon.

Arkady Zlotnikov underlined that the peculiar feature of the project was its narrow specialization, actually all its visitor are professionally involved into automotive industry.

"The International Automotive Salon is the first project uniting not only experts from the segment of auto components, but also the exhibition operators. It becomes of primary importance under conditions of the most severe competition on the modern exhibition arena of Russia", concluded Alexander Kovriguin, the Deputy Director General ASM-Holding.

The event took place February 24 through 27, 2009 at the Crocus Expo IEC.
