OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2008. President of Azerbaijan got acquainted with the technical and economic indices of the “Dashkesan filizsaflashdirma” Joint-Stock Company`s Ganja Steelmaking Complex and Det-Al Aluminum Plant and watched the documentary. The documentary gives information about both enterprises and highlights ideas of the great leader and President Ilham Aliyev about establishment of the metallurgy industry in our country.    

President Ilham Aliyev was present at the ceremony of signing documents, which included the framework agreement with the Noble Group Limited on purchase of the products produced by the steelmaking complex and Det-al Aluminum Plant, agreement of intent with Danieli firm on providing machinery and engineering for an integrated mining-metallurgic plant, contracts with BNK Paribas on financing the construction of the steelmaking complex.

After documents signing ceremony, the heads of the companies participating in the construction of the plant presented keepsakes to the Head of our state.

President Ilham Aliyev put a time capsule into the foundation of the Steelmaking Complex and covered it with liquid concrete.

The Head of state viewed the memory stone in the yard of the Steelmaking Complex. The inscription on the stone reads: “Foundation stone of the “Dashkesan filizsaflashdirma” joint-stock company`s Ganja Steelmaking Complex was laid by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, 3 March, 2008”. President Ilham Aliyev had his photo taken in front of the memory stone.

Then, the Head of state arrived at the site where the Det-Al Aluminum Plant will be built. The President was greeted with great respect and applause by the representatives of the foreign companies, constructors gathering here.
