OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2008. Power Machines and JSC TGK-2 signed a contract for supplies of power equipment for Tverskaya TPP-3, Kostromskaya TPP-2 and Yaroslavskaya TPP-2.

The contract stipulates design, manufacture and supplies of three gas turbines GTE-160, one for each power plant. Power Machines’ liabilities comprise erection supervision and technical supervision of start-up works too. The equipment is to be supplied in 3rd and 4th quarters of the year 2009. The total contract price amounts to 3 billion rubles.

The power plants are to be extended within the framework of Investment Program of RAO “UES of Russia” which is aimed to speed up the development of Russian power complex. The scope of Investment Program of TGK-2up to 2011 amounts to 39,8 billion rubles. The Program is a part of the Holding’s program.

The new equipment will help to increase installed capacity of each power plant by 1,2 which will provide increase of reliability of power and heat supply of the Tver Region, the Kostroma Region and the Yaroslavl Region.
