OREANDA-NEWS. February 29, 2008. The Finance Ministry wants entrepreneurs to start paying value added tax while importing products to Ukraine, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The draft amendments to the government resolution project a new provision, according to which entrepreneurs that perform import operations should pay VAT on the terms foreseen by the law on value added tax.

The step is aimed at eliminating discriminating conditions and unfair competition in business activity, which leads to infringement of the competitive environment by small businesses.
