OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 March 2008 was announced, that 11 years ago in 1997 UniCredit Bank was established as Pekao Bank (Ukraine) and became a member of Pekao Group SA which was controlled by UniCredit Group.

In June 2006 the Bank was renamed to UniCredit Bank according to the business strategy development of UniCredit Group in Ukraine.

In September 2007 UniCredit Bank mergered with HVB Bank Ukraine. That was the first successful merger of banks in Ukraine.
