V. Yushchenko Rises Problems of Bookselling
OREANDA-NEWS. On February 28, 2008 President Victor Yushchenko wrote a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. In his letter President drew Prime Minister’s attention to problems in national bookselling network, reported the Official website www.president.gov.ua.
According to V. Yushchenko since 1990 the number of bookshops in Ukraine has decreased nine times and is currently equals to about 400. “Such condition of bookselling network can not fully satisfy the need for Ukrainian books”, - wrote President in his letter.
Regarding that V. Yushchenko asked Y. Tymoshenko to make appropriate steps to increase a number of bookselling shops in Ukraine with adopting a corresponding Cabinet of Ministers regulation.
