Director General of Belarusian Potash Company Elected to TFI BoD
OREANDA-NEWS. February 29, 2008. Director General of Belarusian Potash Company Vladimir Nikolaenko has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Fertilizer Institute (TFI).
Over the two years and a half of its activity, Belarusian Potash Company has showed itself as a big and reliable supplier of potash fertilizers to the world market. It is the reason why the Fertilizer Institute that joins more than 100 companies-producers of fertilizers has sent an official invitation to the Belarusian Potash Company to become its member. As Belarusian Potash Company annually supplies around 600 thousand tonnes of potash fertilizers to the US market, the Supervisory Council of the company has approved the proposal of TFI.
The session of the TFI Council of Directors, which decided to elect the Director General of Belarusian Potash Company as its member, was held within the framework of the annual business session organized by TFI. Attending the session were representatives of more than a thousand world producers, suppliers and traders of fertilizers including PotashCorp, Mosaic, Canpotex and others.
“During the session we had an opportunity to discuss the current situation on the market of fertilizers. In the course of 30 sessions and talks, buyers and agricultural producers noted that they would like to expand the cooperation with Belarusian Potash Company and to boost supplies of Belarusian potash fertilizers to the USA,” Vladimir Nikolaenko noted.
Belarusian Potash Company was founded in 2005. It is an exclusive supplier of potash fertilizers produced by Belaruskali and the Russian Uralkali to the international market. The company sells its products to Africa, Europe, India, China, the USA, the Pacific region, Central and South America.
