OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 February 2008 was announced, that, UTair Aviation increased its net profit under IFRS 2.27 percent to RUR 270m (approx. US$ 11.04m), the airline’s First Deputy General Director Andrei Ilmensky told a press conference. The figure is predicted to be RUR 320m (approx. US$ 13.08m) in 2008.

UTair’s consolidated revenue surged 32.5 percent to RUR 21.4bn (approx. US$ 874.9m) in 2007 compared with 2006. This year, the company projects consolidated revenue at RUR 33.3bn (approx. US$ 1.36bn).

EBITDA skyrocketed 76 percent reaching RUR 1.95bn (approx. US$ 79.72m), with RUR 2.14bn (approx. US$ 87.49m) forecast for 2008. The airline’s gross profit expanded by a factor of 1.8 rising to RUR 1.6bn (approx. US$  65.41m), and the plans are to increase it by another RUR 100m (approx. US$  4.09m) in 2008. The EBITDA margin stood at 7.3 percent in 2007.

UTair is among Russia's top airlines in terms of the number of passengers carried, and among the world’s largest helicopter operators. In 2006, the airline carried 2,417,060 passengers, up 28.1 percent from 2005.

UTair’s fleet boasts 140 airplanes, including seventeen Tu-154M, four Tu-154B, thirty five Tu-134, seven ATR-42, seven Gulfstream IV-SP and seven Gulfstream-500 jets.
