Moldova and Cyprus Will Collaborate in Winemaking
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 17, 2008 it is planned to hold a conference in Chisinau dedicated to the issues of wines production and culture of consumption attended by over 30 Cyprus businessmen and Moldovan wine-makers.
As the Ministry of Agriculture informed, it has been said in the course of the meeting of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Anatolie Gordienco with the Honorary Counsil of Cyprus in Moldova Kyriakos Pathis.
The aim of the conference is sharing experience in wine-making in the context of Moldova integration into the European Union, establishing new contacts, contacts with potential investors.
In the course of the meeting the parties favoured signing a cooperation agreement in agricultural science and technologies, legislation harmonization, upgrading laboratories and their accreditation in accordance with the European standards between the two countries.
