OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 February 2008 was announced, that a working meeting of Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) President, Vyacheslav Shtyrov with the Head for the Oil Transporting JSC “Transneft”, Nikolai Tokarev and the General Director for JSC “Surgutneftegaz”, Vladimir Bogdanov took place at Talakan oil field on February 26.

The participants have visited in course of the meeting several production facilities of the Talakan oil field central unit. JSC “Surgutneftegaz” has realized more that 65 billion rubles for the period of less that three years which made possible for all intents and purposes to develop the infrastructure required to start the industrial field development. 112 kilometers long Vitim-Talakan field hardcoat automobile road has been built, a gas piston power plant with the capacity of 12 MWatts has been put into operation supplying the electrical power to the Talakan field plants and the Transneft’s oil transfer pumping station which is under construction; 48 producing wells have been built (to be constructed 69 by the end of 2008).

The central oil gathering unit and the metering station are ready for industrial start, the gas turbine station with the project capacity of 96 MWatts is under the adjustment works. Its first phase with the capacity of 49 MWatts will be put into operation in April. The gas-turbine thermal power plant will supply electrical power to two Transneft’s oil transfer and pumping stations in parallel with the industrial facilities.All necessary service bases and the community facilities (hostels, canteens, laundries etc.) have already been constructed. Summarizing the meeting Vycheslav Shtyrov and Nikolai Tokarev have noted during the working discussion that “Surgutneftegaz” is completely ready for the industrial operation of the oil field. 

In order to speed up the process of oil pumping in a reverse mode through the first phase of the ESPO JSC “Surgutneftegaz” is getting prepared to commence the pipeline filling.“We have purchased a pumping station and will take it to the oil field with the first navigation. It will be mounted in July and we’ll be ready to start pipeline filing, - Vladimir Bogdanov said during the discussion. – This will allow to start the industrial oil pumping when the Talakan – Taishet pipeline sector put into operation. The extent of production will depend on the pipeline in-service date. But by 2009 we will be able to provide production of 1 million ton with further dilatation in accordance with the field development program.”“Oil pipeline operation start-up, - as noted by Vladimir Bogdanov, - is a starting point in devilment of a new - Eastern Siberian oil-and-gas province”.
