OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 February 2008 was announced, that Evgeniy Makarov, General Director of IDGC of Centre, and Victor Filatov, Managing Director of JSC Belgorodenergo form the Guardian Council which supervises the course of construction and reconstruction of three orthodox temples on the territory of the Valuek region of the Belgorod area.

Last year the foundation stone ceremony took place in commemoration of construction of temples in two villages near Valuek: the ceremony took place on May 6 in Rozhdestveno and on September 22 in Lava village. Heads of industrial enterprises and companies of the Valuek area, power sector, representatives of the public - members of the Guardian Council, examined building sites. Works are on fast-forward. The basic area of the stone temple of Saint Fyodor Petchersky has been already built in the Lava village. A wooden Christmas Church is under construction in the Rozhdestveno village. Today a dome and a tented roof of steeple have been erected. "Sozidanie" Charity Fund took responsibility to act as curator of the projects. Opening of new churches will take place within this year.

After that, representatives of the Guardian Councils moved to Valuiki, to the Temple of Nikolay Chudotvorets destroyed in the Soviet times. This cathedral is a monument of the Russian orthodox architecture erected in Valuiki in honour of the 300th anniversary of the Romanovs’ House. Now initial preparatory and reconstruction works are already conducted. After moleben, Archbishop Ioann expressed hope for fast revival of this magnificent temple.
Discussion of the work proceeded in the building of the regional administration with participation of Ioann, Archbishop Belgorodsky and Starooskolsky, Chief of the Construction Transport And Housing And Communal Services Department, Deputy Chairperson of the government of the Belgorod area Nikolay Kalashnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Belregiongaz Yury Klepikov, Head of the local self-government Ivan Posokhov, heads of the settlement administrations, representatives of building organisations.

Issues of financing were considered, and pressing needs of the Valuiki people were discussed, for satisfaction of which attraction of unappropriated means is necessary. The Guardian Councils and representatives of "Sozidanie" fund stated readiness in every possible way to help villages, and much has been already done now for their revival. Thus, construction of a feldsher-midwife station is undertaken; Cultural Center in Rozhdestveno village has been already repaired, the park was laid out.

Nikolay Kalashnikov emphasized that all actions should correspond to the plans of the government of the area on complex development of villages. Taking part in charitable projects, he asked to remember that each constructed facility should be provided with infrastructure organisation, and the main task of rural administrations is to keep and increase the facilities constructed by philanthropists. In this connection Evgeniy Makarov especially noted value of participation of the village dwellers in realization of these plans: in fact while the blessings are given to people from the outside, they are treated carelessly. He also paid attention of heads of local administrations to all-round attraction of inhabitants of the area to redevelopment.

Summing up the meeting, representatives of the guardian councils  discussed terms and stages of reconstruction of Nikolsky Temple, creation of constantly operating exhibition in the History and Economy Museum of Valuek city dedicated to the history of the territory, amounts of works on social facilities in Urazovo settlement and discussed other issues. At the end of the meeting Archbishop Ioann thanked all the trustees for their active vital position and sincere participation in the life of small native land. "When the human will is coupled to the God's will, there result lasts for ever and ever", he said.
