OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 February 2008 was announced, that a multilevel interchange opened on the 39th kilometer of Kievskoe Highway on February 22.

The reconstruction of this section of Kievskoe Highway was caused by the necessity of increasing the traffic capacity of the federal route M3 Ukraine from the MKAD to the small ring road of Moscow and on the road Krekshino-Pervomaysky the highway crosses.
Igor Levitin, head of Russia’s Department of Transportation, said at the official opening of the interchange that its opening would make it possible to liquidate the traffic jams of many kilometers on this section of the route and would speed up the industrial development of the Narofominsk area of the Moscow region.

The reconstruction project for Kievskoe Highway also stipulates the widening of the road up to three lanes in both directions on the section from the 37th to 40th kilometer of the highway, the construction of anti-noise shields, the mounting of road signs and the creation of two-level pedestrian passages. The designed traffic speed after the reconstruction will equal 120km/h
