OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2008. In the result of improvement of the existing product and service range and responding to the market situation, Latvijas Krajbanka is altering payment card service rates for all card groups from March 1st, reported the press-centre of Latvijas Krajbanka.

From March 3rd issue of Cirrus card to legal entities and individuals, as well as issue of VISA Virtuon card to legal entities will be terminated. The current cards will be valid until the expiry date. The clients can change the current cards by visiting any of the Latvijas Krajbanka client service centres throughout Latvia.

VISA Virtuon card is the ideal card for settlement of accounts on the Internet, but currently Latvijas Krajbanka offers to receive such a possibility along with a standard credit card product, which can be registered in the Online banking also as the card for settlements on the Internet. 3D Secure service registration cards cost nothing to the users, but they ensure extra security on the Internet.

Cirrus payment cards are meant only for cash withdrawal from ATMs. In the context of the complete transition to the smart card standards, from now on the bank offers to acquire and use for the cash withdrawal debit cards with the smart card functionality.
