OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2008. Chief Engineer of IDGC of the North-West will deliver a report on increase of electricity supply reliability of large cities and regional centers

From 28 February to 1 March 2008, The 9th International Prague Grid Conference "International Electricity Project - 2008" will be held in the suburbs of Prague city.

The main topics of the Prague Conference which is organised for the 9th time by Interelektromontazh Non-production Enterprise with participation of  Mediacenter Company are modern power facilities projects, interaction of customers, design organizations, performers of works and  equipment manufacturers.

Representatives of the governmental authorities will take part in the conference (of the Russian Federation, Moscow, St. Petersburg), as well as of large power and industrial companies, RAO UES of Russia, UES FGC, IDGC, foreign companies both working in the Russian market, and those planning to start cooperation with the Russian party.

The basic issues to be discussed by participants of the conference are optimisation of circuit (type) decisions at introduction of steam and gas installations; construction of substations of high availability; designing and laying high voltage cable networks and high voltage lines; operative introduction of the latest industry developments in the projects.

Aleksandr Kukhmay, First Deputy General Director of IDGC of the North-West - Chief Engineer of the management company will make a report at the Prague Conference. The topic of his performance is increase of electricity supply reliability of large cities and regional centers.
 
Aleksandr Kukhmay studied this subject in detail and devoted it a number of business trips to the regions. From the beginning of the year, he has visited Petrozavodsk, Vologda, Novgorod where he has visited all central substations, held meetings with all interested and adjacent organisations, together with experts developed proposals on improvement of reliability of electricity supply of large regional cities.
 
Aleksandr Kukhmay has taken part in several Prague conferences. According to his words, the conference has an important practical value for adjustment of business contacts with domestic and foreign partners for cooperation in designing, construction and reconstruction of power facilities made to orders.
