OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2008. At the blast-furnace department of “Tulachermet” public corporation the Casting Machine №2 was stopped for fifteen-day thorough repair. In the course of thorough repair new metal constructions will be mounted instead of old ones in the building of cast iron discharge of the casting machine. “ISK” contractors will dismount them and mount the new ones. Moreover, they will repair conveyors with belt rollers and drives, gear systems of the conveyor drive and of the tilting winch. Specialists of the department of metallurgical equipment repair of “Tulachermet” public corporation will inspect driving sprockets and chain idlers. Along with these actions workers of the electrical department and of the heat-and-power maintenance department of the enterprise will be employed at the thorough repair of the Casting Machine №2: the first will fix up the electric motors of the casting machine, renew the lightning of the gallery and the building of the cast iron discharge; the second will renew the system of watering of the cast iron on the conveyors and in the wagons, the system of gas and oxygen pipe lines, the system of the stop valve on the whole machine. For the last time the Casting Machine №2 was stopped for the thorough repair in October 2006. According to the estimates of specialists of the enterprise, the started thorough repair will allow increasing of reliability of work of the equipment and of productivity of the unit.
