OREANDA-NEWS. On  26 February 2008 was announced, that numerous conferences and seminars dedicated to the core points of the industry’s development were held as a part of the International Capital Construction Week.

On February 18 there were held the following conferences: Technologies for concrete and concrete goods production. The role of chemical additives in modern building (organized by Polyplast) and New heatinsulating and soundproof materials for mansard building (organized by Woodway Group and Roof. Facades. Insulation, magazine).

The most prominent Russian specialists of concrete studies participated in the conference. Yu. Bazhenov, academician of Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Science, Department Chairman of Moscow State Construction University, made a report on Modern concrete technologies. The report of M. Brusser, the Head of the Laboratory of concrete construction technologies of the State Unitary Enterprise Research and Development Institute of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete, was dedicated to Modern regulatory system of production and application of chemical additives for concrete and mixtures. A. Vovk, Director of the Research and Development Centre Polyplast, spoke about Trends for superplasticizing admixtures development. A great interest aroused the report dedicated to the Methods for determination and prevention of flash set of concrete systems with complex admixtures (SAA).

The conference was attended by the representatives of research and development institutes, testing and certification laboratories and building enterprises. The visitors highly estimated the state of the reports and high quality of the event organization. 
At the conference New heatinsulating and soundproof materials for mansard building took the floor the specialists of Woodway Group. They told about a new type of material, SOFTBOARD. Natural wooden boards, manufactured without synthetic binders, are characterized by poor heat conductivity, high heat capacity and unique adaptive humidity capacity. Applying such boards for interior decoration of brick and stone buildings makes them as comfortable as wooden ones. The representatives of Woodway Group told about ecological qualities of SOFTBOARD, its main building and exploitation qualities and advantages of SOFTBOARD application in wooden houses building.

The floor was also given to the representatives of ISOROC (manufacturer of top hydro- and steaminsulating films); CUPPRO (roofing materials); FAKRO (mansard windows). The conference ended with the report of the Roto company (manufacturer of mansard windows).

All the visitors actively participated in the panel discussion and expressed their interest for mansard building. At the conference they discussed effectiveness and economical efficiency of roofing materials; mansard windows and heating of attic-floor rooms.
