OREANDA-NEWS. On February 19, 2008 LUKOIL-Uzbekistan, a subsidiary operating company of LUKOIL Overseas held a tender for selecting a contractor to perform a 2D seismic survey in the Kungrad area within the framework of implementing the Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad mega-project, reported the press-centre of LUKOIL-Uzbekistan.

The tender has been won by Uzbekgeofizika. Starting from 2005, the company performed a high-quality seismic survey in the Kungrad area in Karakalpakstan (northeast of Uzbekistan) in the volume of about 2000 km and gained sufficient experience of working in this region. The planned volume of field 2D seismic work in the area is 3000 km.

In addition, the tender for defining a contractor for field seismic surveys in the Kandym group fields in the Bukharo-Khivinsky Region has entered its final stage. The scope of survey will be 1300 km. The bids were filed by companies having at least three years of experience of relevant activities, necessary licenses, state-of-the-art certified equipment and certified personnel, as well as the annual turnover of at least 10 million USD.
