OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2008. The Gazprom Headquarters hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, President of the Republic of Kalmykia.

The parties discussed the progress in the execution of the Cooperation Agreement and the Gasification Accord inked between Gazprom and the Republic of Kalmykia. In particular, a special focus was placed on issues related to the preparation of the 2008 Network Schedule for the synchronized construction and commissioning of gasification facilities in the Republic.

The meeting also touched upon matters with regard to the clearance of the arrears for previous gas deliveries.

It was pointed out that the Government of Kalmykia was implementing a big scope of work to gasify population centres in the Republic.
