OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 February 2008 was announced, that IDGC of Centre, OJSC considers building of the thorough company's asset management system as a major factor of increase of operational efficiency in the long term.

For examination of the best practice in the field of EAM class systems building (Enterprise Asset Management), IDGC of Centre, OJSC, arranged a five-day trip which included visiting the international conference of SAP Company of February 11 - February 13 in Amsterdam devoted to issues of building asset management systems of power and municipal enterprises (SAP International Enterprise Asset Management Conference for Utilities), and Electrabel NetManagement Company of Belgium engaged in management of the distribution grid complex of Belgium.

The delegation headed by General Director of IDGC of Centre Evgeny Makarov included Deputy General Director for IT and Management Technologies Pavel Obukhov, Chief of the Target Management Systems Department Aleksandr Bocharov, Regional Manager for Management Systems Igor Gavrilov, representatives of JSC Belgorodenergo, Sciener Ltd., Fainomika Ltd., AMS Ltd.

SAP Conference gathered more than 200 professionals from 28 countries. According to the report of the conference organizers, the Russian power companies showed great interest in asset management: their group was 49 people.
Within the limits of the conference, reports were presented by the leading world companies providing methods and software products in the field of asset management system, in particular SAP AG, Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture, Click Software Europe Ltd., Meridium Inc., Siemens, and representatives of the power companies: E.On, Thames Water, National Grid, Kengen, Endesa S.A., NB Power, etc.

Pavel Obukhov gave his report as a representative of IDGC of Centre. He told about successful experience of the project of the company's activity complex automation, in particular, functions of the electric power accounting, as well as experience of introduction of assets management system methodology in JSC Belgorodenergo.

In addition to the plenary part of the conference, IDGC of Centre's delegation together with JSC UES FGC held a number of meetings with vendors and advisers in the field of asset management system building.

The second part of the visit was devoted to examination of the practical experience in introduction of asset management system in Electrabel Netmanagement Company.

Within the limits of working meetings with top management of Electrabel Netmanagement and advisers for Accenture introduction, the organisational, information, methodological aspects of the operating asset management system were presented for the attention of  IDGC of Centre’s delegation.
The following step for IDGC of Centre is to find the best decision and practical realisation of the asset management system for all branches.
