OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 February 2008 was announced, that a chain of recreation and retail community centers is to be launched in east Moscow.

“The community centres will be created near the metro stations: Semyonovskaya, Sokolniki, Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad, Perovo, Ulitsa Podbelskogo, Shchyolkovskaya and in the district Kozhukhovo,” a press release of the prefecture of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

According to the press release, the community centres are to combine business, retail and leisure functions giving the citizens, besides rest and a variety of goods, a possibility to get a job near the home.

The circuit authorities expect the creation of the chain of community centres to result in more than 100,000 new work places. Besides, these arrangements will enable to improve the convenience of living in east Moscow.

In addition, 14 kindergartens, 6 schools and 10 sports and fitness centres are planned to be put up in the eastern district of Moscow in 2008. Music schools are to be built in Goliyanovo and Veshnyaki.

Another maternity house is also to open this year announced as the Year of Family in Moscow.
