OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2008. A group of experts of the Moscow city hall will pay a working visit to Moldova next March. Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev and Moscow mayor Yiriy Luzhkov reached an agreement to this effect in Moscow, reported the Official website http://gov.md.

The experts will be part of a common task force that will be set up to consider opportunities of cooperation and attractive projects of mutual interest and to come out with proposals to implement them. Particularly, Tarlev and Luzhkov spoke out for joint investment projects in energy, infrastructure, transport, social sector.

In the context, Tarlev informed about the economic liberalisation reform underway in Moldova, which helped improve the investment conditions. He pointed out the opportunity to set up new Moldovan-Russian enterprises by wooing Moscow entrepreneurs.

Luzhkov expressed Moscow's interest in purchasing foodstuff made in Moldova, given the huge needs of the city he runs.

IN 2007, the trade exchanges between Moldova and Moscow amounted to 604 million dollars, which is 148 million dollars more against 2006.
