Samarkand International Airport Celebrated 80th Anniversary
OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2008. Samarkand Airport marked its 80th anniversary. Today, the airport can serve up to 400 passengers per hour. The air terminal meets international standards and offers all kind of services, reported the press-centre of Samarkand Airport.
The reconstructed transit hall can accommodate up to 300 passengers.
The airport serves charter flights of Europe, America and Asia and receives practically all types of aircraft including IL-96, Boeing-767 and Ruslan.
In near future the flights from Samarkand airport to Ekaterinburg, Sochi and Kaliningrad will be available.
