ROSNO Pays over RUR 3,2 mln for Burned-Out Locomotive
OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2008. ROSNO has paid an insurance compensation of over 3,200,000 roubles to an insured corporate client for the burned-out locomotive, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
The fire occurred during the locomotive’s passage in the Russian Federation. The reason was a short circuit in the high-voltage chamber of the locomotive’s "A" section.
The locomotive had been insured in ROSNO against the following risks: violation of railway transport safety, fire, explosion, natural disasters, downfall of aircraft or parts thereof, and collision with transport vehicles other than railway transport vehicles.
The above event has been recognized as an insured accident, and the insurance compensation has been paid in full.
