OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 February 2008 was announced, that on 8 February, a solemn event dedicated to the 85 years anniversary of Civil Aviation took place at Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk).

Over 60 employees of airport and it's daughter partner companies, which showed good results during their work, were awarded with the commemorative signs issued to the 85-years of the branch.

The awards were presented by Mr. Alexei Chertenkov, General Director of JSC "Tolmachevo airport". According to his words, "aviation will never lose it's romance, and if you once joined it, you never leave it".

Yury Tkachenko, assistant of the Head of Rosaviation Siberian region authority, has also greeted all the attendees.

Some days before a photo exposition dedicated to the Civil Aviation Day was opened in Domestic Flights Terminal of Tolmachevo airport. Over 100 pictures tell passengers about the life of Novosibirsk airport. Among the works exhibited in the Terminal, there are some unique pictures from Tolmachevo achieve, pictures of airports services operations, beautiful landscapes and, of course, the moments of Tolmachevo passengers life.
