OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 February 2008 Mikhail Vasilenko, CEO of the airport, declared, that the reconstruction of Sheremetyevo-1 air terminal is to be launched in 2008.

“The reconstruction of the 1st terminal and the air freight terminal is to be launched this year. A complex for business aviation (an airplane shed with a new platform for business aviation) with a capacity of 16 aircrafts is to be commissioned in Sheremetyevo-1 this year,” Mr Vasilenko said at a press conference.

According to him, a railway station near Sheremetyevo-2 and the railway lines from Savyolovsky and Belorussky railway stations to Sheremetyevo-2 are also to be commissioned in 2008.
