OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2008. Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant is planning to supply electricity to prospective industrial facilities of Chukotka, particularly, a power transmission line will be built from the plant to Kupol gold deposit. This project is part of the federal target program for the social and economic development of Far East and Trans-Baikal regions.

During a meeting with the director of Bilibino NPP, today, the head of the administration of Bilibino district Roman Kopin said that the capacity of the air line will make up 110 KWh.

The sides also discussed the problem of heat and water supply of Bilibino. The director of Bilibino NPP said that his plant was ready to supply electricity to all concerned consumers on a commercial basis. If the sales market is enlarged, the plant will start working at full capacity.
