OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 February 2008 was announced, that one of these days in territory of industrial park in Astana has begun the realization of one of burst projects - constructions of engine gathering factory on unique technology “General Electric”. As the press-service of the joint-stock company “NC KRW” transfers, on a site there have been poled the first 20 trial piles. The general contractor on erection of the unique enterprise in the CIS on results of competition has become building corporation “Kulager”.

Final commissioning of a factory is planned for August, 2009. Already by the end of next year from the conveyor will descend the first Kazakhstan diesel locomotive. With the input of a factory will be opened about 800 new workplaces. At the initial stage of industrial activity assembly of diesel locomotives on 92 will be carried out from materials of foreign manufacture. By manufacturing of “A ridge” - frames, and it is 18% of our shares will work domestic masters. In the further will be adjusted the release on a place of a body, a cabin, a radiator, an air compartment and other parts.

Cost of one locomotive is estimated approximately in 3,4 million US dollars. In May, 2008 in the company “General Electric” will go our 16 experts. They should master the basic stages of technological process and by the moment of start of a factory will return the qualified collectors of locomotives. As experts speak, the advantage of the project consists of that the exclusive right on assembly of locomotives on the post-Soviet space will belong to our republic. After updating of own park we will have an opportunity to deliver locomotives in the neighbouring countries.
