OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2008.  President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received Itera International Group of Companies CEO Igor Makarov.

The guest cordially congratulated Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on the anniversary of presidency and National Flag Day wishing the Turkmen leader and the people of Turkmenistan good health, happiness and new accomplishments in achieving the designated goals. 
Thanking for the congratulations and heartfelt wishes Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted that Itera had shown itself to be Turkmenistan’s long-term and reliable partner that collaborated in the number of the projects in the fuel and energy sector.

Expressing gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the confidence granted to the holding Igor Makarov put emphasis on its exceptionally intense interest in developing full-scale partnership with Turkmenistan through collaborating in the large-scale projects on the Caspian Sea coast as well. In particular, the guest presented the project on construction of a five-star hotel in Avaza. Speaking about further long-term co-operation the Itera CEO reaffirmed the company’s intention to open the representation office in Turkmenistan and presented the design of the Itera office. Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov welcomed the holding’s endeavours to expand on Turkmen market and put forward the relevant proposals.

The Russian businessmen assured the President that the Itera specialists attached particular importance to the Turkmen leader’s suggestions and proposals and had undertaken the specific steps to fulfill the designated tasks. Based of the feasibility study the preparations for construction of a carbamide plant in Turkmenbashi town was under way.

Reaffirming the readiness for furthering close co-operation in the traditional fuel and energy sector the interlocutors discussed the opportunities of the company’s collaboration in developing the abundant oil and gas offshore deposits.

Thanking Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for the opportunity of a personal meeting Igor Makarov reaffirmed the Itera’s firm intention to spare no efforts to implement the potential of co-operation in full in the mutual interests.
