OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2008. World's retail trade leader French "Ashan" will invest into development of its business in Kharkiv, according to a letter, sent by the company's leaders to Chairperson of the Kharkiv Regional Rada Vasyl Salyhin.

The company set up its affiliation in Ukraine on March 6, 2007. The first cash and carry will open in Kyiv in 2008.

The "Ashan" runs supermarkets in 12 states and employs 165,000 people.
