Oil production
The Oil and Gas Production Boards of OAO TATNEFT produced 2,206,381 tons of crude oil in January accounting for 100,5% versus January 2007. The above-the-plan production amounted to 22,255 tons of crude oil (101,0%), reported the press-centre of OAO TATNEFT.

The best results were achieved by NGDU's (Oil & Gas Production Boards) Elkhovneft (102,6%), Aznakaevskneft (101,4%)  and Almetyevneft (101,3%). 2,166,881 tons of crude oil were delivered with the above-the-plan delivery amounting to 39,781 tons.

Independent oil companies produced 528,878 tons of crude oil at the licensed territories in January accounting for 102,4% versus January last year.

The total production of the oil companies in the Republic amounted to 2,735,259 tons of crude oil accounting for 100,9% versus January 2007.

Drilling
The plan of drilling meterage for January 2008 was executed by 104,2% with 55,3 thousand meters penetrated, including 36,5 thousand meters (100,7%) for OAO TATNEFT; 18,8 thousand meters for Joint Ventures and small oil companies.

25 wells were constructed and handed over to customers including 12 wells for OAO TATNEFT (100,0% to the plan) and 13 wells for Joint Ventures and small oil companies.

Well drilling operations with application of traditional drilling techniques were performed by 47 drilling crews. One crew performed drilling into the producing layers in the balanced pressure mode and in the mode of underbalanced drilling (UBD). One drilling crew performed drilling of an exploratory well for Podzemburgaz Company under the program of the Republic of Tatarstan for construction of the underground gas storage facility.

Outside Tatarstan drilling operations were performed by 5 drilling crews with four of them operating in Samara district and 1 crew drilling in Orenburg district.

Penetration per one drilling crew amounted to 1,157 meters.

Workovers and EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery)

743 well remedial works were performed in January and additionally 3 wells were repaired for ZAO Tatneft-Samara.  187 wells were worked over.

Formation hydrofracturing operations were performed at 7 wells. The cumulative incremental oil production amounted to 1,866 thousand tons.

ООО Tatneft-LeninogorskRemService Company worked over 1 well in ZAO Tatneft-Samara Company.

Two crews of Tatneft-LeninogorskRemService Company started drilling of two small diameter wells in the second half of January 2008: well No. 25343 for NGDU Almetyevneft and well No. 3026 for NGDU Prikamneft.

Works on oil recovery enhancement were performed at 120 wells including the chemical treatment methods applied at 83 wells. The additional oil production through application of the oil recovery enhancement methods amounted to 432 thousand tons (110% to the plan), with the chemical methods accounting for production of 206 thousand tons of crude oil.

OOO Tatneft-ChimService performed 151 services for preparation and delivery of acid based compositions.

OOO Tatneft-ChimService produced 2 thousand 181 tons of chemicals for the amount of 45 million rubles in January.
