Tomsk Region Announces Tender for Feasibility Study of Seversk NPP
OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2008. The maximum cost of the state contract is 9.5mln RUR. The author of the feasibility report will have to forecast potential energy demand, study sales markets, assess possible risks and make financial estimates.
The report should specify resources, suppliers of materials and equipment, a plan of action and proposals for effectively organizing and implementing the project.
The offers of the applicants will be considered on Mar 17, the results of the tender will be announced Mar 21–26.
The construction of NPP in Seversk is part of the new version of the energy strategy of Tomsk region for the period till 2020, which has been submitted to the regional Duma for consideration. This month the local authorities are expected to select site for the future plant.
There are four possible sites – all of them are situated in the territory of closed administrative-territorial unit of Seversk. Seversk NPP is part of the general scheme for allocation of power facilities in 2008–2020. The 1st unit is to be launched in 2015, the 2nd one – in 2017. The plant will be operated by Rosenergoatom Concern. Shortly, the Concern is planning to send the Tomsk authorities a declaration of intention to build Seversk NPP. According to the preliminary estimates, the construction of two WWER-1000 reactors in Seversk w2ill cost $2.197bln.
