OREANDA-NEWS. On February 15, 2008 Alliance Bank JSC (Almaty), securities of which are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) category "A" official list, provided KASE with press-release in which the following is informed, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Alliance Bank announced about receiving of objective loan for amount of KZT6,1 bn. from Fund for development of small and middle business JSC (FDSB) in the frames of realization of new Program of support of small and middle business.

Program of FDSP, started on January 1, 2008, is the part of initiative of Government of Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed on support of economic development of the country, and also on counteraction to influence of economic recession on world markets on Kazakhstan economy. Objective loan was provided to Alliance Bank on the basis of special agreement about partnership between Government of RK, Kazakhstan Fund for Stable Development Kazyna JSC, Kazakhstan Mortgage Company JSC and 7 Kazakhstan second tier banks dated December 6, 2007.

Alliance Bank, entered to number of banks-participants of program, will direct the funds received from FDSB for financing of enterprisers of small and middle business (SMB), occupied in production sphere and also in sphere of services and trade. For financing of these enterprisers Alliance Bank will provide credits for total sum not more than KZT140 m., for 5 years' term.

"We are glad to be active participants of governmental project, directed on support of sector of small and middle business. Due to this loan, our credit program may receive more wide distribution", - says Saule Rakhmetova, director of small and middle business department of Alliance Bank.

Sector of SMB enters the sphere of priority directors of activity of Alliance Bank, along with retail business. Volume of loan portfolio of Bank is part of credits to SMB as of January 1, 2008 made KZT80,104 m., having increased for year 2007 by KZT34,537 m. or by 76%. Stake of credits to SMB in total loan portfolio of Bank as of January 1, 2008 totaled about 9%.
