OREANDA-NEWS. On February 15, 2008 according to preliminary data of the Ministry of Finance, consolidated budget revenues amounted to 22 billion 219,6 million leis, exceeding the plan by 1% and by 24,6%-the indicators of the previous year.

Consolidated budget expenditure amounted to 22 billion 353,3 million leis, or 96,9% of the level planned. Tax revenues amounted to 18 billion 379,3 million leis, or 82,7% of total revenues.

According to the Ministry of Finance, 62,7% of all means were distributed for social programs, 16,5% - to various economic sectors and 6,9% - for provision law and order as well as national security.

The Ministry of Finance indicates that in 2007 deficit of the state budget of Moldova amounted to 207 million leis ($ 18,4 million), specifying that it is 2,4 times less than projected indicator for the previous year (499,8 million leis).

In 2007, state budget revenues totaled 14 billion 4,5 million leis, increasing by 2 billion 890,6 million leis (26%) and higher than planned by 0,4%.

State budget expenditure amounted to 14 billion 211,5 million leis, increasing by 29% and making 98,3% of the projected level for 2007.
