OREANDA-NEWS. On February 12, 2008 as said А. V. Kuzmin, Acting Deputy Director General, FSUE Russian Post at the Enlarged Session of the Collegium of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the RF held in Moscow, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.

In his report А. V. Kuzmin noted that post successfully implemented high-tech products in 2007. By the end of 2007 counter operations terminals (COT) amounted 40, 730 units, up 35%. Last year the enterprise opened over 3 thousand Internet public access outlets, their general number made up 23 thousand. Bank card holders can use the services at over 9 thousand POS-terminals in post offices.

Registered mails control system was very efficient. Each month the system checks 50 mln mails that keeps delivery time and minimizes risks of mail loss.

In the near future post is to work out and formulate single IT development concept at new stage of the enterprise development, as А. V. Kuzmin defined.
