OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2008. According to the results of the year 2007, 17 nature-conservative measures were realized at public corporation “Kombinat “KMAore”, on which there were spent 94389,8 thousand roubles. Among these are: laboratory control over atmospheric pollution at the territory of the mine site, at workplaces, on the border of the sanitary protection zone, laboratory control of the quality of drinking water, of industrial water, evaluation of the effectiveness of dust-trapping and gas-cleaning units, repair of spray systems of the mine sites, backfilling of hollows with cleaning rejects and others. Atmospheric emissions indices in 2007 testify the positive dynamics: there were 76,82 tons of emissions from the stationary sources of the industrial complex “KMAore”, while the authorized emissions make up 91,32 tons. The system of wet dust control was introduced, it allowed decreasing of dust emissions up to 1,6 tons (containing SiO2 from 20 to 70 %). In 2007 the process of monitoring of soil condition in the places of temporal storing (accumulation) of waste products was also adjusted. At the present moment the work is underway on the acquisition of the license for the treatment of dangerous waste products. The positive sanitation-and-epidemiological decision for activity in treatment of dangerous waste products is already issued.
