First Ukrainian International Bank to Expand Regional Network by 21%
OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2007. First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) is going to expand its regional network by 21% to 145 units, said vice-Chairman of the Board Gennadiy Molodchinniy, reported the press-centre of SCM.
“In 2008, FUIB is going to open 25 retail departments in Khmelnitskiy, Zhitomir, Kharkov, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozh’ye, Donetsk, Chernovtsy, and other cities“, he said.
According to him, the bank launched 56 offices in 2007 and so far the network includes 11 branches and 109 offices in 23 regions of Ukraine.
First Ukrainian International Bank was founded in 1991. Its major shareholder is SCМ Finance (99,78% of share capital). The bank informs that its total assets grew by 2,3 times in 2007 to UAH 13,897 bn, net profit in 2007 hit UAH 54,609m, while in 2006 it was UAH 80,665m.
The National Bank of Ukraine informs that as of 1 October, 2007 FUIB was ranked 10th among 173 Ukrainian banks then in operation in terms of assets (UAH 11,524 bn).
SCM Finance is a subsidiary of one of the biggest industrial and financial holdings in Ukraine — System Capital Management (SCM). The company was established in 2004 as a management company. Apart from FUIB it controls Dongorbank, ASKA Insurance, and ASKA-Life Insurance.
