RA Government Conducts Meeting on Charitable Programs
OREANDA-NEWS. February 13, 2008. The commission has examined 7 charitable programs, including: 2 Hayastan All-Armenian Fund-implemented programs referred to as "Design of cardiological hospital in Goris town of Syunik marz" and "Improvement of School of Arts after Hovik Edgaryan in Parakar village of Armavir marz," the World Vision International-financed program entitled "Import and free distribution of charitable freight in Kapan region, a KASA Swiss welfare fund-implemented program referred to as “Reconstruction and repair of the first 3-storeyed building of Mastara secondary school in Aragatsotni Marz."
The program which will be carried out in 2008 by "Orran" public charity will seek to render assistance to destitute children and elderly persons, provide support to poor households and needy old people living alone. The purpose of the program to be carried out by the Group of Help to Orphan Children is to supply home appliances to the families of wounded and dead freedom-fighters. The program sponsored by "Shushi – Revival" foundation will seek to found a free printing house in the town of Shushi.
The meeting has also reviewed a number of sub-programs implemented under the previously ones programs, as well as several programs of import of charitable freight destined to various organizations operating in Armenia.
