OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 February 2008 was announced, that Mr. N.P. Tokarev, President for Oil Transporting JSC “Transneft” met Bulgarian Minister for the Regional Development, Mr. Arsen Gagauzov. Issues related with the implementation of the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline system project were discussed in a friendly atmosphere in course of the talks at Transneft’s office.

Mr. Tokarev has in detail apprised the Minister about the activities of the Russian part of the International Project Company. Mr. Gagauzov has in his turn informed about the steps the Bulgarian party had taken to accelerate the preparation for the oil pipeline construction. The Minister has also expressed his wish to get familiar with the work of the Primorsk’s specialized oil-loading seaport and its environmental safety systems in action. The Head of Transneft has extended an invitation to Mr. Gagauzov and the Bulgarian specialists to visit the seaport which is estimated to be the Baltics’ clearest.

Mr. Plamen Grozdanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria, has participated in the meeting.
