OREANDA-NEWS. On Feb 12 ITER Organization and ITER Agency “Kurchatov Institute” signed an agreement for the supply of a superconductor for the magnet system of the toroidal field of ITER.

This is the first basic contract under ITER project.

According to the agreement, ITER Agency “Kurchatov Institute” is supposed to produce, deliver and test necessary equipment for ITER.

The agreement was signed by the deputy director general of ITER Organization Norbert Holtkamp and the president of Kurchatov Institute Yevgeny Velikhov.
