OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2007. Rietumu Bank, the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Czech republic in Latvia support an exhibition of the Latvian artist, Aija Zarina, in Prague, reported the press-centre of Rietumu Bank.

This exhibition takes place from the 7th of February till 31st of March in the Museum Kampa on 1 Praha street. It showcases ten select works of art by this Latvian artist. Most interesting are the floor painting, which cover the floor of the exhibition space. A melding of Cubism and Fauvism, Zarina’s drawings often offer double meanings and symbolic signs. The exhibition is called “My Path”.

The idea to set up the exhibition belongs to a patroness of the Museum Campa Meda Mladkova. During her last visit to Riga she attended Zarina’s exhibition in the “Arsenal” gallery, which inspired her to open “My Path” in Prague.
