1. Results of the inspection of AB PAREX Bankas
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania was presented information on the results of inspection of AB PAREX bankas, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania instructed the bank to remove all deficiencies indicated in the inspection report by 1 July 2008. The bank was also instructed to draw up a plan for removing the deficiencies ascertained during the inspection and present it to the Bank of Lithuania.
The issue of money laundering prevention was investigated by the experts of the Financial and Capital Market Commission of Latvia, who did not ascertain any deficiencies in this area.
2. Results of the inspection of the National Credit Union
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania was presented information on the results of inspection of the National Credit Union (Vilnius).
3. Information on the operations of credit institutions and the activities of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department of the Bank of Lithuania in the fourth quarter of 2007
The Board was presented a review of the operations of domestic credit institutions and the activities of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department of the Bank of Lithuania in the fourth quarter of 2007.
The latest survey of the operations of commercial banks, the Central Credit Union of Lithuania and credit unions is available on the website of the Bank of Lithuania under the section “Credit Institutions”.
4. Graphic designs of the 50 litas commemorative coin dedicated to Kaunas Castle (from the series “Historical and Architectural Monuments of Lithuania”)
The Board approved the results of the tender for the graphic designs of the 50 litas silver commemorative coin dedicated to Kaunas Castle (from the series “Historical and Architectural Monuments of Lithuania”). The design by Giedrius Paulauskis was nominated as the winner.
The graphic designs of the obverse and reverse of the 50 litas silver commemorative coin dedicated to Kaunas Castle (from the series “Historical and Architectural Monuments of Lithuania”) created by Giedrius Paulauskis were approved.
