OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 February 2008 was announced, that Lipetsk Networks Company had been half a century in the making; it is proud of its enthusiasts, talented managers, active participants of creation and development of the power supply system. The enterprise was founded on February 10, 1958 for improvement of operation, designing and construction of high-voltage substations and a uniform management body responsible for transfer of the electric power. Alexey Filippovich Durov headed the new enterprise; Abram Borisovich Epstein was appointed Chief Engineer.

At its foundation, the electric networks company had on its balance one substation of 35/6 kV called Bugor with the installed transformer capacity of 2.8 thousand kVA, and three electricity transmission lines of 35 kV of the total length of 18.5 km. 

Lately huge work was performed on construction of electric networks and substations. Since 1958 to the present time, the centralized current consumption increased 665 times.

Today, after reforming, the staff of Lipetsk Electric Networks equals 627 people. The zone of service includes three cities (Lipetsk, Gryazi, Usman), 6 administrative areas (Lipetsk, Dobrovsky, Dobrinsky, Usmansky, Khlevensky and Gryazinsky), and such large enterprises as Novolipetsky Metallurgical Combine, Lipetsk Tractor Factory, Pipe Factory, "Svobodny Sokol" Factory  and also more than 150 industrial and more than 100 agricultural enterprises. The balance of the electric systems includes 10, 751 km of electricity transmission lines of 0.4 - 10-35-110 kV, 61 substations of 35 kV, 24 substations of 110 kV, 2, 584 integrated transformer substations of 6-10 kV.

Today heads of areas and enterprises, managers of regional and city administrations of the Lipetsk area came to the Regional Recreation Center to congratulate powermen.
'Powermen of the Lipetsk networks managed to pass tests and to keep a team of highly skilled experts which are united by fidelity to the common cause - to provide reliable power supply of city and area dwellers’, Managing Director of JSC Lipetskenergo Aleksandr Konanykhin said. 'Today we can with confidence speak about fast development of the power sector of the region. The evidence of this is realization of the large-scale investment program adopted by JSC Lipetskenergo in 2007. In conclusion of his speech, Aleksandr Konanykhin congratulated colleagues upon the anniversary and wished health, happiness, optimism and, as tradition demands, light and warmth in every house.
