OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2007. OAO AKB Sviaz Bank opened mini-office in post office 71 in Ufa. President of the Republic Murtaza Rakhimov and First Deputy General Director FSUE Russian Post Andrey Konoval were the first persons visited the post office, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.

Andrey Konoval told Murtaza Rakhimov of the implementation of the President’s Order on postal infrastructure within the framework of financial and banking services. In fact, launching Sviaz Bank mini-offices at post is one of the steps of performing the program. The guests saw the mini-offices range of banking products and all services granted by modern post offices.

Sharing his views the President of the Republic noted all largest Russian banks are represented in Bashkortostan. However in middle, small cities and settlements banking network is insufficiently developed still.

Andrey Konoval in his turn noted the problem can’t be solved without Russian Post’s 1, 200 post offices in the Republic, majority in rural settlements. Over 90% of them have Internet access demonstrating the highest rates in the country. The wide network of post offices grants people financial services in different settlements.

The President Murtaza Rakhimov has highly appreciated joint activities of Russian Post and Sviaz Bank. He hopes that postal-banking sector will improve further in Bashkortostan. Murtaza Rakhimov visited post office and paid attention to its new design, examined public access outlet and spoke to the employees. In conclusion, he told of positive changes at post and called them "quality break in the work of the whole sector".
